Angry Arrrrghhh!

I'm starting to lose my faith in the so called reliability of these trucks. I've got 200,000 km, not miles, on my truck and it has had to be towed in 7 times for no-starts. Twice this week alone! Once for an exploded front diff at only 7000 km. Not to mention limping it in for repairs ranging from two smoked trannies to steering boxes to injector and lift pumps, and so many little things I've lost count. The third tranny was my fault, too much load, too much power. But all the other failures were either electrical or fuel related. This week 6 wires broke in the back door harness taking out my locks and window. I almost never open that door. Did I just get a dud or what? My old Chev gasser that I bought for $1000 has 500,000 km and has never left me stranded. I'm almost scared to drive this thing anymore.

Tell me if this makes sense. Today's failure, two dead injectors would have cost $2200+ for 2 new stock ones. I installed 6, 60hp ones for the $3300 with labor etc. and that included diagnosing the no-start!

And to rub salt in the wound the tow truck driver bent my bumper.

On a happy note, my truck goes like stink with the new sticks. And it just pours the smoke on the ricers

2003 Laramie 3500 Q/Cab Dually 4x4, Black, Tows 20,000 every day. 60 hp injectors, Edge EZ on 4........it just pours the smoke on the ricers

you expect it to hold up for 500,00 miles, without ever breaking, driving like that?? Sounds to me like the problem is abuse, not poor craftsmanship

I admit the tranny was my fault, but did I cause 6 lift pumps to fail, 2 injector pumps, shorts in crank sensor wiring, etc? Drivline is how you use it. Electrical parts are indifferent. They either work or they fail. By the way almost all the failures occured prior to bombing or working the truck.

Wait a minute. You're running a pressure box and you expect not to have fuel related issues???
