Anyone try BF Goodrich Commercial TA Tires

I am looking for tires for my truck. I use it for hauling firewood and going offroad in the desert. It is mostly rocks down in the desert so I am not worried about snow or mud. I want long-wearing tires.

I was looking at Goodyear DuraTrack tires here: http://www.goodyeartires.com/goodyea...ch%20By%20Size

When I was calling around a tire salesman told me about BF Goodrich Commercial T/A Traction tires: http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/specs...action/48.html

Anyone tried either one of these tires? How many miles did you get out of them? How are they off-road? Any comments are appreciated.

Bob

can't answer for the goodyears, but a friend of mine uses his truck comercial and loves the bfg's. he burned up a few sets of mud terrains, some all terains, then the tire shop got the commercial tires, they wear great, even on a truck with 293k on stock front suspention.

I have them on the front of my 94-seem to hold up pretty well; I don't imagine they'd be very good off road if you had traction issues. I plow with courser commercial truck (c/t) tires. great traction when needed, & seems to be fairly hard compound-they hold up pretty well over the years

Second that. Looking at a set of these for the Chevy, what are you seeing for wear?
