Anyone running these Ladderbars?

$299 from TopGunCustomz. Look decent, just curious if anyone has them and has any feedback.

I just purchased and installed a set of the gdp bars. The pieces are top notch and they come with good instructions and all the hardware.I think the bars are worth the added expense, because they bolt on (no welding) and are easily removable from the truck.

My main question has been am I going to notice they are there and enhancing performance everyday? Or only at the track, or in low traction conditions such as snow etc. Because if they make a difference for everyday driving, then I will buy some.

I would be curious to see these installed. From the picture it looks like they only attach to the rear diff. at one point only. Not a true "triangulated" set-up like the GDP bars. If they attach below the horizontal centerline of the axle tube, they would certainly help, but looks like to me if they do, they would hang down a long way. Maybe the picture is missing something.

If they do not trianglulate, why not just build a set of single tube style like XLR8R has. He used a simple design and mount, and would be cheaper to set up than these.

Because of the under-axle mounting point, my bars prevent fore-to-aft axle movement, as well as eliminate spring wrap. I'm fabricating both a long sled-pulling set and a shorter quarter-mile set for the '98 next week in the shop.
