Is it a worthy investment?

I mean there are 12v's with 750,000+ miles on them that were earned without the use of a bypass oil filter such as the FS2500...

But in the same breath I wonder how much better the internals would look if the miles had been logged with the FS2500?

I'm not a prude or anything, but geez... their ads are so obnoxious and page after page in the diesel truck mags that for that reason alone, I'll never buy one.

i've heard that they can actually take all the good additives out of the oil that the oil really needs as well? don't know much else

If it would help keep the soot down to extend an oil change for a couple thousand miles or so I might be interested. For $500 bills though, I can buy a lot of Rotella T.

I know you can get it at their website or Summitracing too. Cheaper, supposed to filter well. I was going to get one but then I decided the filter needed to be changed too often. I'm all about cleaner oil, but I like to keep the truck simple. I don't want to worry about oil lines bursting sometime down the road, etc. etc. Plus, if dirty oil were to reduce the life of your engine by a little bit (which in most cases isn't the problem), an engine rebuild doesn't cost that much.

Have a customer with one on his truck, samples oil and now has over 20,000 miles without a full change. Oil stays cleaner, so less wear particles floating around engine, and extended intervals save money on oil changes in the long run.

I believe that it works, but I wonder how much difference there is... I change my oil every 3/3000 anyhow. 500 bills, huh? Couple more and I could get the stacks that I wanted...
