Anyone not happy with their Smarty?

I happened to read another thread on another board about people not happy with their smarty...its absolutely the first thing I have heard that had been negative. One person was also asked not to talk about his smart on this board...which makes me wonder what they cover up and dont want people to know....

So who here is NOT happy with the smarty? Why are you not happy with it?

I think 97 said it didnt work well on his truck either but those guys have tried several DL's and I think they chalked it up to being a problem with having had several different DL's at different times. The smarty is the only one ive tried and no problems. On a side note though I have spoke to several guys that switch from CL to smarty all the time. Its just kind of a per truck insident.
PS in case you didnt read on here the juice doesnt work with the edge juice that your running at all. It just acts like its not there. I think the predator is the only thing ive read stacks good with the juice.

I've seen a few posts on here and on tdr where people had issues with smarty....it appears most of the issues are on heavily modded / previous downloader trucks....the vast majority are extremely satisfied....also, a few think it smokes too much....

"One person was also asked not to talk about his smart on this board"....I have a hard time believing this.....it's not like Marco / Bob W own the board.....nor do they know / are friends with the 100's of people that give smarty excellent reviews......seems a little too conspiracy theory to me....

I love the smarty....you just cant go wrong.....i believe there's a 30 day money back guarantee....what do you have to loose???.....try it...guarantee you wont return it!

I see its not working good.

I have had trouble with my smarty. It is ruining my tires at $310 each
other than that, just great.

For every dissatisfied Smarty owner you find I'll show you ten dissatisfied FlashPaq owners...

Seriously, the best thing you can do is to try one for yourself, and in the unlikely event that you are unhappy with it I'm sure Bob will take care of you.

Good Luck!

Don't let them get to ya Bob, there are people on every forum that can sure talk a lot of crap on the internet! LOL!! I have been experiencing the same thing with my company but it goes in 1 ear and out the other. I am saving my $$ for a Smarty! Might come and see ya when I am in the Yakima area visiting family. Will make the trip to your place. what is another 200 miles when I have already driven 1300!! LOL

It should also be considered as well that every person who buys a product-- not just Smarty-- comes predisposed to certain viewpoints and expectations that may cloud reality. Unrealistic expectations of any product leads to dissatisfaction and "problems". I think the best "case in point" for the Smarty is the smoke... well in general, I believe, you buy a downloader to get more power. More power, in general, is more fuel to the cylinders. More fuel, without more AIR, gives smoke. Can't have your cake and eat it too...

While I am another VERY satisfied customer of Smarty (full disclosure rules) I have to admit that had I bought Smarty when the truck was new and not knowing then what I do now-- as a result of experience and forums like this for info-- I probably would have tore up my truck and been unhappy with Smarty, but is that my fault or the fault of Smarty? I don't think there is a one product panacea for everyone.

I LOVE my smarty. I would give up my tst/mp8 in a heart beat over the smarty.

But this is the first and only DL that has ever, will ever be on my truck. Every product is gonna have flaws, but it does seem that the majority (not necessarily all) of the people that have had a problem with a smarty have had several other DLs on the truck prior.

I did not like the SMARTY. My truck was slower with the SMARTY than with the Hot Juice. I do plan to at least try a beta download though to see if the new software works with the Juice.
