I am considering purchasing a transmission for my CTD from an auction in Rock Island, IL. and would like to find someone local to that area to pick it up for me. You will, of course, be rewarded for your trouble. I would also, if possible, like to find someone heading east or northeast who could relay this thing a bit closer to my home in N.H. I don't mind travelling a ways to meet up with someone, but I just started a new job, and there is no way I could get enough time off to get all the way to IL, or at least not right at the moment. Of course anyone helping in any way will be reward for their time and efforts. Hopefully we can somehow knock a 20 hour drive down to 10 or less.

Even if someone were headed toward Louisville, KY, it would be a huge help...our company has trucks passing through there that could pick it up for me.

I would love to help but I am literaly as far away from Davenport as a person can be and still be in the same state. I am in the extreem north west corner abought 30 miles from both SD and MN. My wife works for a large trucking company that primaraly goes east. Maybe they can deliver it for you. Usaly they dont mess with stuff that small but on ocasion I hear of them hauling odd things like that. They have around 150+ trucks and 90% of them go your direction. Let me know if you want the number and a contact name to persue this option.

I'm about an hour from Davenport, but I'm only 15 I would ask my parents, but they are kind of busy right now. I will let you know if I find anyone that could do it though

Well I found someone who can get it from Iowa to Baltimore, which is MUCH closer to me...and within a reasonable driving distance. So if someone can manage to pick it up and hang onto it until around Dec. 17th, or maybe Jan. 2 if he picks it up on his way back. Baltimore is only 9 1/2 hours from me, less than half the distance. Now I just need to find someone near Davenport area who is available Mon-Wednesday, 6:30 am-2:30 pm.

Hopefully with the power of the Internet, this can be pulled off...
