I'm looking for the best match to the factory gauges (white faces) and I also want to see what the gauge holder looks like in a third gen truck. The di pricols in my truck would look real bad in a third gen. Thanks!
Here are some Isspro Marine EV's. Will put pic of Autometers on next post.

If you havent sat in a 3g with gauges on the piller you might want to check one out. It has a lot more in your face feeling than on the previous trucks because of how much more the pillar is laid back. Too much for my tastes and I went with the xmoniter. You of course might not be bothered at all by this but I would check it out if you have not done so yet. Im not the only one that felt that way.

some people have told me that some of the pillar mounts dont fit well or you can see the back of the gauges from the outside of the vehicle
hows the fit and finish of this mount?
do u have to paint it?
remove the factory cover/handle or cut it off?

ETurner - The gauges do light up through the needle as well as the face. They are not a perfect match for the factory dash, but they are fairly close. I would say the needles are not quite as reddish as the factory, and the face is little more greenish. Not too drastic, it still looks decent. I got them from Dave at Diesel Power Products. The 98-02 mount was like $25, and the gauges around $150 if memory serves.

I need to see a pic of a 3 gauge pillar mount!
That is the first step I need to do before any kind of box is going in my Truck! :)
Look a few posts up in this thread.

Hey all, thanks for the replies. I did some poking around and found out that di pricol makes CUSTOM WHITE faced gauges specifically for the 03+ rams (supposedly anyway). Weather they are made specially for that truck or not, they look like a REALLY good match. Diesel power products has a kit consisting of three gauges, the senders, and a painted pillar mount for 345. Does that sound like a decent price? It seems like a bit more than I paid for the gauges in my current ride a couple of years back. :) Me thinks this is good lookin stuff tho. Here's the link to thier site: http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/gauges

The Dipricol we had did not come close to matching at night. The illumination was blotchey and poorly lit.
Just a heads up here...that grab handle is an integral part of the truck...DOT told me that. Maybe thats why all the Rams have them?

That doesn't make me too happy. ??? I have always been pretty happy with the di pricols in my current truck because they match ok and they have never given me any problems. Bummer deal, but oh well. The illuminated pics on that site looked pretty good to me though. If I can't find anything better, then I'll just have to go with the dps I guess. I like the isspro marine gauges, but I don't care for the blue needles. Maybe the autometers? http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de/sad/nixweiss.gif

Like I said before, the Di Procols are not a perfect match, but they are close. In daylight, they are more or less spot-on, it's the illumination they didn't quite master. Very happy with the quality of the gauges though. DPP is also great to work with. My $.02. :)

I agree, they are nice gauges, just not real good illumination at night.
Rod had one in his truck and when Iwas driving it one night I called him and asked whos gauge it was becasue of that lighting. [laugh] [eyecrazy]
BD has a nice unit for the pillar.

Sorry I dont have a pic to share of my mount..it's a dual..boost & egt...my gauges are auotmeter and match great ..till night fall..then the lighting is different..other than that..i'm happy..my mount was black when it came and my a pillars were tan/taupe so since my dash and interior are slate i took the passenger one off and painted it black to match and like it better than when they were lighter colors..i just used interior trim paint from the local auto shop..10 mins prep and it looks like it was made that way
