Anyone had an EGT gauge Malfunction?

Anyone had an EGT gauge Malfunction?
My egt gauge dropped to 250-300 degrees last night while i was pulling a load. It stays right in between 250-300 degrees and never reads any hotter. I checked all wiring and everything seems to be intact. Anyone with suggestions I would sure appreciate the help. Thanks
