Anyone else Rhino Line the rocker panels?
Picked up my truck last week. Had a ton of rock chips on the rockers from dirt roads.
So I went and got the bottom part of the door and rockers done with Rhino Liner.
Looks a lot better then the the chips. I really like it. And I don't have to worry about it anymore.
Anyone else do it?

I haven't done it yet ... but it is on my list of things to do. Sure seems like the best cure for chips and road tar.
Looks good with the burgandy paint, by the way.

I absolutely REGRET doing mine.
I whacked 2 deer last October. Took out the pass. fender.
Well, the body shop stripped the old fender and pass. door's rhino liner. Guess what. Lotsa rust behind that wonderful stuff. The rust on the old fender was starting to flake.
Get on the horn with Rhino corporate about their wonderful 5 year warranty they advertise. Their reply was pretty much you're on your own. The warranty is only for it being applied as a BEDLINER. That's it, nothing else.
The truck had 23,000 miles on it when it was applied and it was immaculate. Now........
If I would of known then what I know now about it, I would of never put it on. I would much rather deal with rock chips than rust.

I'm think about Rhino lining the rocker panels.... The amount of off road time this truck gets It will sand blast the rockers clean here soon...

did mine myself with herculiner almost a year ago. holds up very well. key is the prep work. i laid it on a little on the thin side. going to do it again soon. i did the whoel bed of my john deere gator and it is super thick and looks as good as the line-x in my bed of the truck. as far as the rust think, i didn't sand the truck down to bare metal. i took a medium grit piece on a d.a. sander and scuffed it up really good, basically took off the clear, and it holds wonderfully. so even if water somehow got by the bedliner it couldn't get passed the paint and primer.

My advice would be to go with LineX instead of Rhino. I've got Rhino in my bed a hate it. It only has a 5 year warranty, and that through the person you got it done by. The guy who did mine went out of buisness so I have no warranty. LineX is a lifetime warranty trough LineX and is honored at any LineX dealer. The also warranty the rocker panels. Mine is going in to get Linex on the rockers next month.

Turbo dreams is right. it's all in the prep work. I actually did mine and took it up higher than normal. Right under the badge...at the second groove. I love it, especially because it's on a white truck.

i agree. if you have any sense about body prep work, buy the 1 gallon herculiner kit and put it on thick. like i said mine is holding up great and it gets pelted with gravel, sand, mud and what ever else the tires fling up. even if you have no clue about prep work, the kit comes with instructions that are step by step detail and with pics.
