any opinions on the Quadzilla Recon dig.gauge?
I have a Zillaraider 3 position box on the truck now with the reostat switch,I was thinking about upgrading to the new zillaraider 2 but the pod that comes with it only reads boost, coolant temp and rail pressure.I am thinking of just keeping my zillaraider and getting the Recon which comes with the trans temp sensor,Thermocoupler for the egts and boost gauge function.Any body using it and have an opinion. So far I am very happy with my original zillaraider

Snopzowski has it and likes it so far. I am planning on getting one next month for my B-Day. For the moment I just have an Autometer boost guage on the A-pillar. I also have the X2 XZT box. Be interested to hear if anybody has had any issues. Seems a good way to go for the price and all that you can monitor.
Does anyone know if the Recon gets the boost reading a different way than using the boost bolt on the intake manifold?

Recon uses serial read data to get its readings, the commander uses analoge type data to get its readings (but im told it is in the works to have the commander do serial data readings). Most other style guages read analoge style data as well. I have had zero issues with my x2 recon style guage unless your buddy presses all 3 buttons at once and it freezes up then a few starts and all was normal again. For the $ you cant beat it.

it says "...Not only will the X2 ControlPOD show your current power level, but will also display an accurate reading of your Rail/ICP Pressure, Boost, and *Coolant Temperature."from Quadzilla site

I use the Recon gauges. Mounted in the recommended position I had a bit of a hard time seeing them with the sun coming through the rear driver's window.
I relocated them to the right of the emergency brake release and that is much more visible. The gauges are subtle and a good bang for the buck. They will work fine if you only care about seeing one parameter at a time.
