Any one have repeat frontend bearing problems
150 k and on my 4th set of front end bearings at 900 dollars for the pair this is getting outrageous and makes me not want my truck anymore. talked to Chrysler they wont help, they say that there are wearable parts . made me very mad . Any suggestions on aftermarket parts that will last a lot longer?

where can i find such part. is that a brand? Also hope im talkn bout the rite part these r the bearings between the front wheels and the axel near the lugs the shop only charged me 80 dollars to put 900 dollars parts on so seems to me its not to hard to replace myself what do u say

They aren't too hard to change out but that many in that few miles, you have something wrong. What brand are you getting for $900 as well? I have 35X13.50 tires with a very heavy offset and am on my 2nd hubs with 134K miles and they are perfect yet. Is your truck 4wd or 2wd? Even 2wd hubs are only about $700 a pair for National, 4wd are cheaper at $460 a set.

Dynatrac and others offer a complete kit to replace the "unit bearings" the trucks currently use. These Unit Bearings are reported by some to be improperly engineered for our trucks.
The kit replaces the entire front axle assembly with much easier to service (and less expensive) inboard and outboard bearings, just like cars and trucks have been using for 80 years. You also get manual locking hubs which will save wear and tear on the front drive assembly and return an extra mile or two to your gas mileage.
These kits are $1500-$2300 depending on brand, plus installation.
Front wheel bearings are like front ball joints on our trucks. Some folks can't get 25K miles out of them. Some have gone well over 100K with no issues.
My ball joints went at 100K and my bearings are still going strong at 120K.
It's a shame you did not know about this before you spent nearly $1000 on bearings. The extra $500-$1000 would payback in a relatively short time, and in my opinion, your truck would love you for it.
But you say your forth set of bearings!!!!!!!! I'd hire a lawyer and go after the dealer. That's outrageous. I've never heard of anything like this. Unless you are really abusing your truck by running monster tires and jumping wrecked cars at truck pull events....Or if your truck has 400,000 miles......And you've been replacing them every 100K?

bearings
I havent done anythng wrong to my truck i run stock setting on every thng tires rims i love my truck the power of the motor is great ,tranny prob at 131k my fault pulled i couple of big rigs w/loboy when stuck i work in construction so i try to help and show off back to my bearings im clueless why they go bad fast maybe stock parts just trusted the wrong people and just needed my truck to get to work only 150k on my 4x4 04 2500ctd

grease them bearings
u say u can please explain more that sounds great idea y dont they have a zert fitting i thought there be i only found 2 grease points on the hole trk should be alot more

I agree...somethings wrong with that picture!!! I've got almost 275k on the ol' gal and she still has the original unit bearings. Thought one was going out on me at one time many moons ago but turned out to be nothing more than front u-joints and even then I could have gotten both unit bearings for under $650. Sounds like someone put the screws to you !! Man, I sure hope you get that figured out.....keep us posted.

900 dollar bearings
well as of now i had to put those parts on again bout one month ago ill see how long they last before i put more money in to my o4 4x4 going on152k more than likley willput another 20 to 30k on the truck again this year going to start my penny jar for next year repair

What clue or indication are you using to know when the front wheel bearings go bad? Are you sure you do not have upper & lower ball joints that are bad and you are chasing that problem?
I have 165K on the truck and to be honest, I have no idea if my ball joints are good or bad, same goes for the wheel bearings. In my mind, I would have to jack up the truck and use a pry bar to find play in either one.

bad bearings and upper lower joints
well im the only drive of my truck and put alot of time in the seat so feeling it fade start with checking my tire pressure make sure there ok last time i got a bearing grind sound and new for sure the main thing was i felt like a drunk driver all over the road lot of play or drifting between the dots i think ive put 2 sets of ball joints on now but mainly the drunk driving feeling sloppy felling surprised havent got pulled over for it drive odd hours cause of work schedule i put upper n lower plus bearings this time . I LIKE TO RUN CLOSE TO MAX AIR PRESSURE FEELS SMOOTHER PLUS FUEL MPG CAUSE IN CA. PAY ALMOST 3 DOLLARS PER GALLON

Grease through the ABS sensor hole as mentioned and I'll bet they last a long time. Just over a 100K on mine now.
