Yep, got out of my 402hp Twinned 95 12v 6spd, and got into a 98 12v Slushbox that is very stock, and VERY slushy

I hate this truck right now....but it's nice being able to drive the old 95 when I want to shift and have some fun I miss shifting my own gears sometime, but not all the time

Heck yeah. Mine's not heavily modded either, just a BHAF, straight exhaust, and #10 fuel plate. My buddy bought a stock '97 stick-shift, holy cow that thing is pig-slow!

I think the biggest difference....at least with the stick...is the GSK. Having more RPM to play with makes that wide spaced 5 speed feel a lot better That's why I went with the NV5600

Even more fun is going to a truck with a Banks mod and the remark "I thought your truck was modded."

i haven't driven a stock truck since minewas stock a few years ago but i have left a friend of mine's 96 2500 in the wind..... he won't let me mod it for him cause he wants to save his fuel economy.... but i think there is something wrong with the truck..... can't maintain 65mph pulling a 28ft enclosed tagalong with a mustang in it...

I dont recall them being to bad. I remmeber being able to do some wicked burn outs and get sideways in a turn if I got carried away when mine was stock. the other truck is still stock and dosent seem to bad for a big truck. Although it is MUCH more fun now.
