Any NEW updates to the K01 Reflash saga?
Hey there! Lots of talk about this Flash, especially from us Cali guys. ANy new news? I figured I would ride it out and see if there were any problems. All the talk seems to have gone away. You would think if it was a bad idea it would be posted on here. Thanks!

I don't think there have been any problems with the K01 flash on stock trucks. Since you aren't running a programmer, should not be an issue.
Have you read ALL of the other thread in this section regarding the K01 flash?

I got my recall notice in the mail today, and I'm in Canada - we don't have smog checks...ever. My truck is actually at the dealer right now for a bunch of warranty work before the warranty runs out in 2,600 Km (odo is 97,400 Km now). If they haven't already done it when I go to pick it up, I don't think i will bother getting it done.
In the Canadian version of the letter, there is no threat to cancel warranty or any of that BS. Funny thing is, it still says:
"It has come to Chrysler's attention that in some limited instances the software programming of your vehicle's ECM may fail to accuarately report diagnostic system information that can result in failure of certain STATE MANDATED inspection and maintenance emission tests."
Well, since I don't live in a State, and we don't do emission tests, I don't think I care.
