Any experiences with Genos water pumps?

Geno's has a really good price on their water pumps but I'm kinda partial to Cummins branded parts. Went to the Cummins dealer today and was quoted $153 for a pump!!!! That seems awfully steep to me.

If any of you guys/gals have any experience good or bad with Geno's pumps I'd like to hear it. If they turn out to be reputable I'll be doing the pump, t-stat, and ignition switch next week on my days off.

I like Geno's. I'd buy anything I needed from them with confidence. Great Customer support.

Geno's sells the Gates brand water pump. This is a well know brand but usually associated with rubber products, belts, hoses, hydraulic hoses, fuel and radiator caps. Like FMB mentioned, I have never been disappointed with Geno's merchandise. Good luck.

Yeah I've always had good luck with stuff from Geno's but just wasn't sure about the Gates brand water pumps.

The whole reason for me wanting another Cummins water pump is the fact that it has close to 300k on it with no problems. Don't know if I wanna take a chance on another brand and then have to replace it a short while later. I'm not much of a gambler but then again I gamble everyday I go to work and drive amongst the freakin idiots around town .

I put a Bosch water pump in 30 or 40K miles ago, and just replaced it with the Geno's pump last night. I think it was Bosch anyway. Whatever it was had the ring on the fins. This one does not. Here's to hoping....

It's hit or miss with the OEM pumps. Some ppl have only gotten 30,000 miles and other like you have gotten a butt load of miles.

I guess for the price through Genos I'll go ahead and get one. It's not like I'd be out a whole bunch of money if it didn't work very long.
