Any connection between changing the fuel filter and not shifting??

I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9 24v diesel truck with an automatic transmission. After changing the fuel filter on the truck I went out for a test drive. After it warmed up it didn’t want to shift from second to third gear unless I let off the pedal or shifted to neutral and back to drive.
Any connection between changing the fuel filter and not shifting??
Had 12 PSI on test port on IP.
Also CODE P1693

Did you let it idle in neutral for about a minute before taking off? The torque converter doesn't fill in Park. A low converter fluid level causes that symptom.

Try a short idle in neutral with parking brake on before you take off after she's sat for a while.

Fuel delivery does not have anything to do with the transmission not shifting, although it is weird about that starting after you changed the FF.

Now, my recommendations would be to take it to a shop who knows CTD transmissions and have it looked at. The people I took it to for service before my trans went to hell never told me that they had to adjust the bands so far down, and as it turns out that was the problem that would soon come around to bite me. I changed out all of the sensors in the trans but to no avail. I took it into a shop which specialized in CTD's where he tore down everything and found that the band had completley worn out. So much in fact that I needed a new drum. Now, alot of that extra parts needed was my fault for not just taking it in earlier. My suggestion would be to not keep driving it in its current state, it will only cost you more money in the end.

I would suggest you ask here for the names of some good shops in your area. Thats what I did and I was reccomended to probably the best in this area.
