Anti-slip addative or No anti-slip addative?
Does anyone have a definite answer as to wether or not I need to add anti-slip addative for the American axles. The owners manual says no, the dealer says yes. Who is right? :-

[/quote]The factory shop manual says yes for the 1500's limited slip but no for the 2500 & 3500's limited slip units because those differ in design and do not require it.

As stated, NO do NOT add any type of limited slip tourque additive, it will void the warranty. also make sure you check the level of fluid in the rear-end. On the earlier models they were all shipped at least 1 qt low. The gear lube weight (I believe) is 75w 90.
Just my .01 worth.

I don't think it would void the warranty, but no you don't need it. No clutch packs or cones or any other friction devices in it. Its an all gear LS.
