Another Oil Pressure Question?

My stock guage will read in the middle when its cold. When its hot it will read 2 lines from low. What do these lines mean 10psi per line? Or should I just plumb in a mechanical guage from the filter housing and be done with it? I'm worried about pressure getting too low . Thanks.

You just screwed the guage right in? no tubing or nothing. Didn't run it in the cab? Do you see a difference in the guage on the filter to the one in the cab?
Sorry for all the ?

It means you have some oil pressure.

The stock gauge is pretty vague. If it bothers you plumb in a real gauge.

Thanks Wanna, I have new cheapo sunpro guages that I was going to use on my '86 gasser. At least now I have a use for them. Where is the water temp sender on the cummins? Might as well plumb that up too. Sorry, where is the best place to plumb the oil guage? From the stock sensor location or the filter housing?

Factory temp sender is toward the back of the head on the driver's side, most guys put their aftermarket probe near the thermostat housing (big pipe plug there).

Put the oil pressure wherever you feel like.
