Another miliage question for the programmer goo-roos

Refering to the truck in my sig. I am getting about 16mpg. What is the best programmer to get for mileage? Also what kind of mileage can I expect to get?

Thanks in advance.

Well, your mileage doesn't seem that bad at all. Most any programmer will add a MPG or two, but don't expect much. You see, when you add a programmer or chip you tend to drive a teeny bit faster and do a few more teeny-weeny burnouts, you know, cuz you can....

Try some mach 1.6 injectors and a Smarty.

hand calculated with my set up I will get 17-18 on freeway. this is pretty flat not to many hills and elevation around 600. I was getting better with 35" and even better with 33" but like everything else you loose some when you gain some. the smarty and my mach's really helped. I went from 90hp nozzles to mach 4's and noticed no worse on mpg but cooler temps and smoother throttle. the smarty to me with the REVO is different to everyone. pending what you have already to the truck etc. your mpg are not to bad. you have a 5 speed. cant comment on you rear gearing mine is 3.54 at 70mph I'm at 1650-1700ish rpm's if I go the speed limit 65 I feel I may be close to lugging the 6speed. I would say a smarty and some mach's would be great for you. granted like said before you put go fast parts on and you end up wanting to play or hear them. and there goes your MPG. hot rodding around town and everytime I see a blackout behind me if I do that all week I would easly say my mpg would be around 12-13 in town. so at times my foot needs a intervention.

I also have Edge J/A and am currently running it on 3x3, mostly highway and some hot rodding. Seeing about 19mpg. Gained about 1-2 mpg over stock setup. But like was posted before, you have to keep the loud pedal off the floorboard! Hard to do sometimes.
