I have an annoyting wind noise at highway speeds on my drivers door.

Door seals look good, seams to not fit tight and leak air around the top corner of the door.

Very annoying.

I had the same problem on my '96 Ford but I always just put up with it.

Is their any adjustment to make the door fit tighter and correct this problem??

ie. striker plate or something similar

Before you go bending everything all up....I had the same problem on my truck, seemed like it was coming from the upper corner of the door window. Checking it out....the weatherstrip that seals the door glass had pulled down just a fraction of an inch. To fix this...simply roll down your window, the seal will pull straight off the channel, pull off enough so that you can start well before the 90 degree turn, and reinstall the gasket so that the corner fits snug.

If that does not work, an old trick is to take a dollar bill, shut it in the door, then pull the bill out. You should feel resistance, but the bill should not just slip out. If its slipping out easily, go ahead and bend away.

If it's the door seal and not the window seal you can adjust the striker plate on the rear door that the front door latches to. Just loosen torks bolts and slide the striker in toward the inside of the cab a little. You can also adjust the rear door to help the front door close tighter. Adjust the striker on the rocker panel for the rear door in toward the cab. Remember a little movement on the striker of either door goes a long way for sealing the door to the cab.

I found that the top corner on the passenger door would leak during a cross wind at higher speeds. I adjusted the top hinge of the door to bring the top and front of the door in a bit.

Mark the door plate and the door with a scribe. Loosen slightly the hinge bolts to the door. Using a drift and a 2lb hammer I placed the drift on the edge of the hinge mount to the door and a couple quick blows brought the door in about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. Striking the hinge for the move is easier than trying to bump the door in from the outside.

Did the trick, no more noise.

What I used to do to fix that problem is to put my knee on the inside of the door and pull on the top corner NOT TOO HARD THO and kinda bend it you will hear some noise but dont worry just dont bend it alot just couple pulls should do the trick. Always worked for me.

I gotta go out and try a few of those sugestions, the noise is annoying.

I have an obsession with keeping the truck perfect, can't have an annoying noise going on .

I think I have the same problem. I think it's wind noise from the mirrors but I could be mistaken.
