AMSOIL Nanofiber BHAF.
My Fleetguard BHAF is reaching the end of its life and i have been reading around other websites and heard a few things about a new air filter that is suppose to compete with the paper BHAF.
its called the AMSOIL Nanofiber eaau4510.
Has anyone seen these or have one? Will they hookup to my AFE Torque Tube? Any better than BHAF?

I've been runnin' one for about the last year or so and it seems to do pretty good. Had a BHAF before and it definitely flows better than the old paper one. They come in alot of different sizes so you should be able to find one that fits your application.

I've been using the 4510 for over a year, too. I like it alot. Easy to clean like dieselrob said...just blow it off. The only thing I wish I would have done, and highly recommend you do, is get one of those Outerskins (I think that's what they're called) to protect the filter. I keep meaning to order one for myself and probably will even though the filter is now has some bluish-black spots from all the road grime that finds it's way to the filter. I guess better late than never.

Yep, a good filter and no oil. Go to their website and match the ID of the intake and I'm sure you'll be able to find one that fits. I think I'm running this one p/n EAAU6080....over a year now and zero probs.

Have a question for yall that are running this filter. I bought one thinking I could use the 4 inch connection just like for the BHAF but it does not seem to want to work. What did yall use?

I bought the filter that has the same ID as the rubber intake hose. Had some pvc the same size to insert into the intake hose and then placed the amsoil filter on it. You could even install the "filter minder" into the pvc if you wish. If you don't install a heatshield, it will then rest on the fender....make sure you place some protective tubing or cover the a/c line as the filter will rub thru it and then kill the a/c system.

I used 4" sch. 30 PVC pipe that I had left over from a job. The 4" refers to the inside diameter of the pipe, so don't go off of that dimension. The outside diameter of 4" sch. 30 is 4.5", which fits inside the flange of both the Amsoil 4510 filter and the intake tube going to the turbo. If I remember correctly, I cut a 3" long piece off the pipe. A little tip, rough up the surface of the pipe because I found you can easily pull the filter off the pipe if you leave it's surface smooth...the band clamp wasn't enough to keep it from sliding off. Also, remember to debur the pipe...you don't want those little bits of plastic shavings going into the turbo. Good luck!
