I have had oiled K&N's, and foam oiled filters on air intakes and I run them on my quad. The dry amsoil on my truck is way cool, and seems to actually stay pretty clean. Your friend wouldn't know what crap was until he stepped on it.

I've had mine in for about 6 months now. So far, so good. I've made about 4 trips to the dunes and haven't found evidence of the filter passing any sand or other debris

Well I used to have a K&N on my k&n cold air intake. I pulled it off one day cuz I heard a few reports on how the k&n doesnt filter that great. Low and behold my intake had a film of fine dust and my turbo had a very light smattering of oil on the blades.....
Well I ordered a Amsoil 4095 and stuck it on. So far have been very happy with it. Dont know how much it flows compared to K&N but its stays a whole lot cleaner and Ive taken it off a few times to check and have yet to see any dust on the intake.... and a dry filter leaves NO CHANCE to get oil on the turbo blades.
A kid with a Honda saw my K&N lying on the ground and wanted it for his car...his engine is prob small enough to fit inside it

Iv had mine on for about eight months and like it very much.
One thing I like about it is as far as cleaning, all you do is either vaccumm it out or blow the dirt out with low pressure shop air and reinstall and your good to go.

Hey... don't buy the Amsoil dry air filter!!! I got a new, still in the wrapper K&N I'll sell to you. Won't be needing it since I like the simplicity and filtering of the Amsoil filter. Been using Amsoil products in my vehicles and Harleys for some years now and this filter is a good one.
