Thumbs up American Chopper

Did anyone catch the American Chopper segment the other night where they are building the Police bike? There's a part where Mikey has to take a chainsaw carving of his old mans dog out to his new house in Ole Blue a 4X2 Chevy. Mikey and his buddy end up getting stuck in the new pond at the construction site when Mikey drives right into it! Anyway one of the new guys from the shop brings his 3rd gen Cummins 3500 and the old man and Pauly bring the Hummer. To make a long story short this should be a Dodge commercial. The guy with the CTD hooks up to Ole Blue and YANKS it out of the pond backwards and almost into a tree! . It was priceless. If Dodge doesn't pick up on this they're nuts.

Yeah, it really yanked it out of the mud and up a hill! Did you notice the front tires on 'Ol Blue weren't turning when it came up and over the hill. Mikey was probably standing on the brakes.

I saw it...... and I'm absolutely amazed that someone wasn't killed. They used a hoist chain and hooked it to the ball on the stuck truck and then just hooked the hook on the other end into ONE of the flimsy 1/4" plate safety chain holes. Then gave it maximum hell yanking it out. What a bunch of *edited for language*..... they need to stick to building bikes.

I was laughing so hard during that part. Me and my buddy were positive that the cummins was gone rip the bumper right off. I liked the part where that one guy lost his shoe.

Mechanos, I agree they didn't do it the safest way possible, but it was still funny.

I figured they were going to use the H2 to pull him out. Then when that wouldn't do it, they could hook another chain to the H2 from the Dodge and pull them out together. Then we'd find out what the weakest link was...the chain or the H2.

Did you see the wheel on Ol' Blue as they went into the pond? Surprised he didn't take it off completely the way it was dug in going sideways.

Those guys have no idea how to recover anything, and I'm glad no one was hurt.

just goes to show that even goobers can make money, if they are at the right place with the right ideas and skills. having a t.v. show helps with the bills tho....

There was another episode where paul jr's hemi ram backed into paul sr's expediton and mashed the bumper in, so jr hooks a chain to the bumper an says ok dad i'm gonna pull it real easy ,yeah right . He floors it and just about rips the front end off of the expedition. it was hilarious

Every once in a while they show that Expedition at the shop and it still has the bumper tore off. I think its just a beater now. The sad thing is that it was new 5 or so years ago and was almost 40K new.
