I am a turbo DUMMY
I am currently running an HX35 stock turbo. Is there anything out there that will spool as fast or faster than that, and supply more air quicker.
Thanks,
Harold

i had a industrial injection super phat shaft62 and i thought it spooled up faster than stock it is good for up to 550hp. i could ped my 60psi boost gauge. any 62mm s300 industrial injection, high tech turbo and BD diesel all use s300's no matter what they call it any of those would be perfect for what you want or garret and turbonetics have some ball bearing turbos that will spool superfast and flow more air, but i've had no experience with those

Hold on before you buy!!!!!!
There are to many other factors that you need to think about before you buy a turbo.
What type of transmission do you have auto or stick?
what type of fueling do you have?
what gearing do you have?
what are you going to do with the truck? tow or play?
What size tires do you have?
What altitude are you at?
I have that turbo and it has been a huge disappointment with my truck when pulling a hill I have to keep the rpms above 2400 to keep the truck cool when towing a 10,000 lb load and in order to do this I'm moving at 75 with od locked out (it sucks) I may have other problems but I have not been able to find them yet and I will be looking for them when the truck gets back from the shop with the new six speed Allison installed.
Allot of people on here will say that you need more fuel but this is a very poor response because you are trying to just drive at a steady reasonable speed and if you add more fuel you'll be accelerating which is what you do not want.
do your research with the questions above.
Good luck

anything over a 62 will spool alot slower than stock unless it is ballbearing or vgt. a 62 will get hot if you are if you don't keep your foot out of it or tow heavy, but it keeps the egts lower than the hx35. If your going to tow heavy twins is your best option you get the quick spool up and low egts or a good water meth kit. a 64mm is a good street turbo you just have to live with some lag.

Sorry, but no way in you know where will a 71mm turbine wheel spool as fast as a 58mm turbine wheel. Its impossible.
You wont get any turbo to spool as fast as the stocker.

The 62's arent bad. A little more lag but its tolerable.
You will need to address the head gasket soon if you havent. usually 45psi is the danger zone. A cam will make it really dangerous =)
