Am I crazy!

So on Saturday I was out burning some pasture and a guy asks how much I want for my truck. I told him it wasn't for sale, but thanks for the compliment. A while later he asked if he could drive it . . . in the pasture, so I let him. He took it for a big circle and then comes back and parks it. Jumped out and said $8500. I told him no. Then he says $9500 and a ride home.

So my question is, am I nuts for not taking it? I have had my truck for 7 years now so I'm kinda attached. It only has a few things wrong (rust spot under passenger door, busted clockspring, external lube from the front seal) I could probably still take him up on it, but I think that I would want to replace it with . . . you guessed it, the EXACT SAME THING! What do you guys think?

Thats a tuff nut to crack. 10 grand might help, but maybe not. I'm kinda attached to mine also. I had a 96 and gave it to my son, so its still in the family. He's 266k on it now and he sure don't want to even talk about getting rid of it.

A 12V is a hard thing to get rid of.

NO HELP

I definately wouldn't. You'd be hard pressed to find another one.

Yeah, that's what I've been finding. Looks like it would take about $12K to touch one. Kinda nice to have something in demand though, rather than a 165k gasser that the junkman won't even touch.
