airhorn no good?

It looks like some aluminum (melted piston) has settled inside the airhorn (pic pending)... should I be concerned? I was hoping to fire up the truck tomorrow (after 5 months of silence) but obviously I won't if this is a problem.

Thanks.

After all that you have been thru do you want to take a chance on debris falling into the head?

Looking at your picture it appears to me that what you are concerned with is just casting defects.

That had also crossed my mind... I'm going to compare it to my sister-in-laws truck to be sure.

What'd ya mean? The 5 months without my truck and thousands of dollars in expenses hasn't been that bad...

I doubt piston debris could end up in the intake.

Now if a turbo imploded, that debris could be found in the intake.

That just looks like casting imperfection, no worries.

Just got back from my brother's house and his wife's truck is the same... so as you guys suspected, it's all good.

Thanks!
