airdog install help needed!!

well got around to installing the fp-100 today and now it wont draw fuel. the line that goes to the tank, the fitting doesnt seem to fit tight.you can pull it off easy by hand. reading the instructions it seems to me that the blue plastic clip from the original has to stay off, but the airdog fitting doesnt seem to seal tight enough to draw fuel.need help truck is stranded in the driveway, dont have insurance so lighting her up is out of the question.

i think its the quick connect fitting that goes to the tank doesnt seem to be sealing itself right.i dont think im getting fuel from the tank to the pump.it pulls on/off with ease.

This is why I do not like this fitting arrangement.

I would get a DrawStraw in the there and all the connections would be solid.

the fitting is crap, cut it out of the fuel line and hose clamped it to the tank fitting. faster, easier, cheaper.and imagine no more problams, and this set up will last forever and not wiggle or bounce off.i just hope the rest of this system is designed better than some of these fittings.

I would not advise clamping a 1/2" hose to a 5/16" barb.

Get the right stuff to o the job right.
