Airaid MIT intake tube, too short ???
Part number 300-928. Just got it. It's overall length is 6.75", which is 1.25" shorter than the stock tube (8"). Something doesn't seem right. I'm not installing it until I hear back from Airaid.

Got the update from Airaid
Their engineer called me after going to a local dealership and disassembling a stock air box. He told me it'll work just fine, but the difference in length was due to an engineering compromise. Apparently, they needed a longer MIT to replace the stock air tube, and a shorter MIT to fit their entire CAI package. They just split the difference.
I haven't committed to install yet. I really like the 5.5" alum tubing in there now.
