I know I should get better air flow with the after market air intakes but will I get better filtration as well? I'm on some pretty dusty roads a lot of times. I've read most of the different manufacturer's claims and in the ads they all sound great. Also will I be cleaning the filter more often than I would be replacing the stock filter.

Haven't seen one cleanable filter claim better filtration over OEM. I buy my stock air cleaner from Cummins NW. Also did a homemade version of www.psmbuick.com

I lived in Vegas for 5 years. IMHO, I wouldn't trust anything but paper there. The dust blowing around can be pretty bad.

Might try an Amsoil Ea189 drop in filter. You won't get better HP from an after market system.
