Air Dog question????

I have been talking to some local mechanics and they are seeing a lot of crap fuel in the diesels these days that they didn't use to see. I am not going to turn my truck into a monster, but I was wondering if the Air Dog would be a good addition for the sake of filtration and the elimination of the tank lift pump or is the stock filtration more than adequate? Thanks.

airdog 100 would be the ticket if you are not making a monster. can't go wrong with the warranty and increased filtration

What he said, plus with the 100 you can draw from the canister's stock feed but you'll still need to plumb the AD return back to the canister.

Right now with the sale going on with the ADII you can get a higher flowing unit with all of the components to modify your stock in-tank sending unit. This way even if you plan on a 100hp adjustable unit you'll have the room grow.

If you do some searching on this site there is alot of DIY duel filtration unit and fuel pump setups that can be had for less money.

For ease of insrtall you might wanna consider the Raptor 100. It connects to the factory fitting of your tank and there's no return from the pump to worry about, no dropping the tank, lifting the box, no canister modding to worry about.
You can plumb the factory filter in line and add a 2 micron filter after it as well, this is what I'd do if doing it again, there's some talk of the AD water seperator being a little lacking compared to the factory one and the 3 micron filter being more like a 5 micron.
