Just put the new Air Dog 165 on last week. Thanks DTR!! Few things here: I set the idle fuel pressure reading to about 23psi on my gauge using the adjustable regulator screw. Opinions on this idle psi????? Next question, I have the edge juice hot stacked with the edge ez, and before I got the air dog I never ran it on hot level because it surged very bad for fuel. So, I put the air dog on thinking it could throw enough fuel to the cp3 to give the injectors all the fuel the edge wanted. It still surges!!!! Very bad!!! It will barely run in hot level past quarter throttle. I put it on JWC's scan tool and rail pressure on level 4 at full throttle was 24,000. Rail pressure on level 5 at full throttle was 17,000. It actually pulls much harder in level 4. Do I really need a bigger cp3 just to run the edge on hot level? That kinda seems ridiculous and I would have never guessed that! Also, when you put it to the floor the fuel pressure drops from 23psi to 15psi instantly then slowly climbs back up. That doesn't seem normal either.I think this weekend I'm buying a smarty because i'm sick of messing with this edge

I have the same AD unit. But due to whining noise from the pump, I now have it set at 17psi. I'm sure others will chime in about idle pressure.

it sounds like your CP3 can't keep up. I would do either a DIY CP3 mod or get a "bag of part" CP3 upgrade kit from one of the big guys here.

As for pressure drop, I'll tell you what AD told me about mine. They said as long as it doesn't drop below 10psi you are fine. Otherwise they told me to give them a call if it does. Mine would go from 19 to 12psi that's only with a 100hp chip set on 60hp!

Thanks tesla for the input! I figured it was the cp3 that was holding me back. That just really surprises me that just hot level edge drains the stock cp3!?!? Buy a smarty or pick up an mp8 box to stack with the juice and ditch the ez?
