I don't have bags, but I can tell you that they won't.

The expansion joint bump is a function of damping (shocks) not spring tension.

The heavy unsprung weight of these trucks severely limits what you can do to get rid of that ex joint thump. A heavy trailer really helps.

Even at the lowest setting of 5 psi, they do not help. As you add air above the minimum and unloaded, the ride becomes worse. They are there to help when loaded.

How about if you replace the springs with airbags, like semi trucks ? Will it get better ?

I tried 3 brands aof shocks and actuyally the best ones were the OEM from a 3rd gen.

Bilstein and KYB were great but I bought new takeoff from 3rd gen MegaCab and they are the smoothest so far, they fit 2nd gen just fine, and they cost 1/4 of the others.

But some on some interstates there are long stretches of "humps' it gets impossible to drive or especially to tow, truck gets into a what I call "a rythm" and never stop bouncing. I found the best way is to move to the passing lane, take the he!!, I meant "heat" from who's passing you on the right, but at least you don't destroy your cargo or your truck and what's behind you.

Minnesota is the worse so far !!!!

X2...They are for hauling loads not ride quality, mine rides like a lumber wagon when empty, i usually try to keep some # in the bed seems to help me.

a full air ride rear would help out a good amount, but they are not cheap by any means.
