Air Bag Install Question??

I want to add some air bags on my 2500 but heres the problem I have the reese fw hitch the brackets that mount on the frame are on the outside over the axle the air bags have to be mounted on the outside over the axle to.
This means I will have to drill through the hitch bracket to mount the air bag bracket and it would throw it out of line about a half a inch from the mount is this ok?
How are you guys running bags with hitch brackets on the outside of the frame any ideas??

I just did two sets of airbags just like that , it doesnt cause a problem at all , i drilled through the frame and the hitch bracket and bolted the bag mount on. works fine, no problems at all.

Pm me and i'll give you my phone number if you have any questions.

Jayme.

I don't know for sure how they mount on the 2nd gens, but I've got a set of Airlift bags on my 06. They mount on the bottom side of the frame, don't interfere with the B&W hitch at all.

I just installed airbags too, I was going to take them back off and grind out about a 1/2 inch on the frame side of the top brackets (3 holes each side) but once I used them a couple weeks and re-inspected them they look like they will be OK. Be sure you use spacers in any gaps between brackets and mine needed longer top mounting bolts 3/8"nc x 2"
