Honestly, if your keeping your stock air box I wouldn't bother with a drop in oiled filter like Air Raid. I've heard good things about there replacement intakes but if I was you I would stay with the paper element. You can get them at Geno's Garage (do search on internet for Geno's Garage) for much less than the dealer. Plus you don't have to worry about cleaning and re-oiling or over oiling the Air Raid. Now if you go with a whole new intake, there are as many brands as there are Democrats in California . And you'll get just as many opinions. I understand the new Scotty 3 is a nice setup. It uses a Uni oiled foam filter that is well respected in motocross. Good luck on whatever decision you make.

I'd respectfully disagree.
I have an Airaid filter (also the MIT) in my truck. My filter minder would be pulled 30-40% down after one hard run with the stock filter. Hasn't moved since I put the Airaid in. And I did nothing to the airbox itself, just added the filter and the Modular Intake Tube. FWIW, I did them separately, and the MIT tube wasn't what lessened the restiction, it was all the filter.
Airaid is one of the companies we use. We have others too. But I chose an Airaid for my truck.

Personally I would opt for the AMSOIL or Trueflow foam drop in air filters. These two filters appear to give better filterization without the problem of the gauze matting up a nd then allowing the unfiltered air to enter the turbo and possibly damageing it. These filters do allow more air into the system and seem to filter better.
Just my .01 worth.

Stay away from drop in's you hardly gain anything not worth the money 50-70 dollars for a measely 90cfm get a intake with conical that will support 800+cfm not a airbox with drop in that might get you 375 cfm

Why pay for something that when it gets dirty, you will throw away. Unless you stock pile paper filters, For the time it take to run down to your dealer of parts store, you can clean, oil and drop back in you reusable. I like mine, alittle more flow, one time purchase, a extra time well spent IMO
