Has anyone seen the Powerstroke commercial that takes place in an aircraft graveyard? A Ford Powerstroke supposedly tows an old DC-3(?) down the taxiway to her final resting place. As the camera is filming thru the front windshield, the truck gets up to a pretty good clip, and viewer can see the airplane leave the runway, gliding above and behind the truck at the end of a tow cable. First icebreakers now lifting aircraft off the ground, those guys have a vivid imagination!

I've seen the add your talking about - the plane is a C46 cargo plane which was about 25% larger than the C47 (DC-3). If you look closer you will see that the plane is pushing the Powerjoke ;D ;D ;D. They tried it them other way around but could't keep the Furd running long enough to get a 30 second film clip. ;D ;D ;D.<br>Bob

Get this! I saw this a while ago when that first came out. You know how on the commercial that commatoze is talking about. You kno how they advertise the new 6.0L well look at the dash cluster all it has is P,R,N,D,2,1. the new 6.0L have P,R,N,D,3,2,1. And look at the side bagde. So if there gonna advertise a 6.0L then why not use a dang 6.0L!!! that shows you how screwed up ford can be!

I had to dredge this one up again because I just saw the latest Super Doodie Powerstroke ad. This time you see nothing, just a big 3500 Doolie Doodie pulling a gooseneck thru town, and the townspeople looking up in awe at whatever it is they've got loaded on it. I guess the airplane and the icebreaker were a little far fetched.. :

As big as that shadow is, it very well could be the icebreaker and the airplane.

I love my un-named, but powerful I-6 diesel engined truck that was produced by an American company that is really owned by a foreign company from an un-named country...as opposed to trucks that may or may not be produced by other <br>American or foreign companies. ;D<br><br>DeWain

A buddy of mine works in LA doing special effects. He was just up here visiting and told me about the commercial. They did the rigging on the crane hoist, and used a bunch of spring cord and rigged some kind of trigger. He and another guy pulled triggers to make the cane host snap like it had just let go of something very heavy, yet there was nothing only air. The shadow was done by cameras. Not a thing in the back of the pickup.

Gotta love what they come up with in special effects. He couldn’t tell me about the stuff he just did with KORN until their video is released.
