Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but I'm a wheel moron. :D

If the factory aluminum wheels are 17x8 with 6" backspacing, how much backspacing would one need for 17x9 or 17x9.5 wheels?

Also, will a 17x9.5 wheel (with the correct backspacing) fit without having to do a level lift on the truck?

Billet Specialties (http://www.billetspecialties.com/product.asp?cid=16&scid=23) has 2 sets of wheels that look pretty cool I think, and I'm hoping the 17x9.5 will be enough backspacing.

If I am reading the website correctly, it looks like you can get a 17x9.5 with 7.25 backspacing. That would mean the wheels would only stick out about .25 inch more than stock. Should work great (if it clears everything on the inside).

($2000 just for wheels  )

Heh...yeah, I forgot to mention that they're not cheap. :)

I'm not sure about the whole .25" thing. I'ma have to look into that. Can't have more tire sticking out than I can stomach. I wish someone would just make a wheel that is normal width/backspacing to make life easy. :D

Several are running the Eagle 17X8 and 17X9 wheels with 4.5 inches of back space and 315's with no problem. The problem is with rubbing the back and the 17x 10 will not work without a 6 in lift.
