the clink in my front end has turned out to be a bad steering box- i prefer not to buy an over priced oem one. i have contacted agr performance, psc motosports and flaming river. none of those offer an after market box for the 3rd gen trucks. anybody know of a company that sells any?? or a company that can rebuild it better than an oem unit???

i saw another post where another member bought his from napa and he said it came with a life time warranty. i checked the napa site tonight- according to their site the price was 179.00, with a 199.00 core charge. if i find a company that rebuilds them better than oem spces- i think that is what i am going to do.


rockauto.com,napa, advanced auto and autozone all show the same part number for the steering box, which happens to be a-1 cardone. rockauto.com is the cheapest at 146.00 bucks, plus 175.00 core charge. advance auto and autozone show a life time warranty on them. rockauto.com and napa do not state the warranty period on theri site.
