Hey looking at getting a little cleaner look for my truck with new rims. Found a good deal on some weld rims, and know they run them a lot on 1/2 tons but how are they for our diesels holding up? or is this nothing to worry about with any rim manufacturer of 8 lug rims? Thanks just making sure i got by a$$ covered - dont want to spend money and end up being foolish about it.

I have 16.5" x 9.75" Weld Typhoons on my '98 12 valve and have been running 36" tires for the last 9 years. Currently I have 36.0" X 14.5" x 16.5" Parnelli Jones Dirt grips mounted on them and have been running them for the last 6 years. My wheels have been fine no cracks or problems of any kind. There a pain in the *** to keep clean. I've kind of let them go a little bit. On the plus side with a little elbow grease they clean up nice. Use a quality lug nut (McGard) and torque your lug nuts to 140 ft./lbs. and you'll be fine. -Glen
