Has anyone purchased and installed some aftermarket rims for their 03/04 2500s? We just bought our 04 2500 4x4 QC last night and tomorrow we're going shopping for some new rims and BFG285s.

Any pictures? Likes/dislikes?

Thanks.

I have Mickey Thompson Classic II rims on mine and I love them! They do make the tires stick out further than the stock rims so you may want to get fender flares as well (I did). Here is a link to some of my pics...

I’ve seen the black wheels on someone’s truck. Does anybody know what brand they are? I’d like to find a set of black wheels with the same width and back spacing as stock. The biggest tire I’ll probably go to is a 285. I'd rather not change the stock geometry of the truck.

I have black wheels on but it is not stock back spcing. They stick out about 1.5 inche with 285's on. If you want to see a picture here is the link to the post. http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/yabbse/index.php?board=17;action=display;threadid=20426;s tart=msg191625#msg191625

There are two companies out there making black wheels for the 03/04. Pacer which is what I have and the other brand I do not remember [eyecrazy]. The other brand is stock though. Wish I was more help.

My brother just sent me a picture of his 2500 QC 4x4 with the American Racing Python 17x8 and Les Schwab Mud Terrain SXT 35/12.50-17 and it looks very sharp. I can email you a pic if you want.

Bigblue, those rims look sweet. Did you have to install the leveling kit due to rubbing with those 315s and rims? Looks awesome.

Thanks for the comments guys! ;D

Lightman, yes the leveling kit is necessary to keep it from rubbing. It is still very close though. It is so close that I can't even put mud flaps on the front with the fender flares cause they will rub for sure.

Hey, BBH -

Thanks for the rims; They worked GREAT!

The 315's sometimes rub on the inside, against the link, but most of the time, a sweet ride!

Plus, backspace & offset is stock, a big plus to me.

One day, I may lift it & go to a really big tire for the beach!

Thanx again..

Rene
