When I bought my truck the radio did not work so I took it out and checked the wiring and fuse which were all good so I chuncked the box. I bought an install kit for our trucks off flea-bay which looked good and had factory wiring pigtails. Yesterday I bought the cheap radio-CD player from Wally World for $50. (Has red lighting to match my red interior). The wiring from the install kit has the same colors as the radio so it is an easy match. I do not like to hack wire stuff and this looks good. Radio has 60w x4 so it drives the speakers great. Very easy install and looks good. Picts attached.

Also, now when I switch the ignition to Acc something in the alternator clicks on and then when I turn off the ignition it turns off. Does not do this when turning on the ignition switch to start. What is it???


Last thing, 4X4 indicator light, the bulb is good but does not turn on when in 4X4. Do the switches on the front axle go out?

i think the 4x4 light has contacts in front of and behind the linkage... you could look up there for the contacts and clean them out. mine started working after i power washed the underside of the truck.
