Aftermarket Front End Rebuild kits??
Hey guys,
I basically need a whole new front end (tie rods, ball joints, etc). Are there any really good aftermarket or stock upgraded front end kits out there? I can't seem to find any....

TRW is much better than Moog- which is Federal-Mogul. Moog were reported to repeatedly fail under moderate use on several forums I have been on.
Moog Track bars are junk and they dropped their lifetime warranty. TRW is less expensive and seems to outlast Moog hands down, plus they have a lifetime warranty.
No full kit, you need each piece separately.

I don't know about their track bars but the moog ball joints are good pieces. I have had them in my truck for over 100k and they are still staying strong. I have gone thru 3 sets of stockers they usually last me about 50k.

My stock rod ends lasted 100K and My Stock track bar lasted over 100
K......and it has plowed snow every year since new.....I'm at 40K on TRW ends (and the first rebuild of a lukes link on the track bar) Doc, you're the only one I know who has gotten 100K out of Moogs in the past 5 years.
An adjustable track bar is better if you are planning on lifting or leveling the truck- if you're leaving the front suspension alone get the fixed track bar- it's cheaper and without the lift there's nothing to adjust for.

I don't know which moogs you are using but my dad's 04 my 98 and 02 are both running the moogs I don't know if they have any different grades but these were 100 each for one and around 90 for the other. one of my trucks weighs 8100 lbs all day and spends about 60% of it's time off road. that is the truck that went thru 2 stock sets under warranty. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Check out www.rockautomotive.com They don't have a complete kit, but they have all the parts at good prices, at least I think they are.

DTR's Locomotive Superhero and the DTR Sweet Tea Specialist
I have all moog front end parts on my truck they seem to be holding up very well for me. I do alot of city/highway driving on some very potholed roads. All the stuff I bought is lifetime warrantied too.
