There are several good lights but if you want to see the mountain you'll need more than just two. IMO the Hella 500's are good for the money. You can spend as much or as little as you want on lights. The Hella 500's are about 50 bucks for a set that comes with everything for the install. PIAA is another great brand but they're pretty pricey.

Well Give us a price range. You can spend anywhere from 49.99 a set to $750 a lamp. LightForce makes awesome adjustable Halogens as well as HIDs. Hiss in my opinion are the Way to go. Why 6" do they need to fit in a certain opening? The have 4"-8" lights. Give us a little more about your driving types, windy mountain roads, long straight Baron stuff, or Desert. It all kind of makes a difference. Also with HIDs you can get different colors and some can help in the Fog and Snow better than the others.

KC Highlights
PIAA - bulbs go bad fast and are a pain to change, I finally gave up on my PIAA halogens and use their HID lamps.
LightForce out of Australia, adjustable beam pattern ! ! !

Also, are they gonna be bumper mounted or rack mounted. That can help in decision and light pattern as well.

Once again I saw HID is by far the best and you cannot go wrong with them! they even have HID conversion kit for you halogen lamps. Let us know some more info and we can help you out some more!

my driving habbits are mostly back two lane highways or gravel country roads, with a LOT of wild life out there!!! i.e deer, antelope, MOOSE!!! i seem to get a touch of virtigo out there and i can't see beyond the the factory head light beam.. i don't feel that if something were to pop out onto the road i won't have enough time to see it and slow down.

the reason that i am looking for the 6" rounds is that i had a abumper made with costom light buckets that are for the 6 inch rounds. i am looking to buy four to fit inside the buckets. i have no problem with spending about 200 dollars a pair.

Baja Designs make some incredible lights from $110 and up a buddy has some both the LePaz and the Fuego's and they are both blinding but as said before to light up the whole mountian I'd get more than 2

Get whatever lamps you want and can find cheap, then plan on geting HID conversion kit off of ebay for under $100 per set to switch over to a true HID Xenon bulb. I got my HID kits for $68 shipped from ebay and not one problem so far. I love them, you can see forever and then some and don't need high beams ever.

Here are some affordable spot 6" lamps from ProComp that you cn change the bulbs to true HID's and be done. Part no #9004

• The ideal spot light for serious
off-roaders
• 100-watt light features special
shock absorbing rubber gaskets
around the lens, plus double rubber
anti-vibration mounts
• Wiring is protected by flexible metal
conduit
• Available in high-gloss black or
polished chrome finish, with hard
plastic cover
• Wiring harness sold separate
Description P/N
Chrome 9003
Black 9004
Rep. lens 034
Rep. bulb 9767
Rep. cover 606

I found these for around $40.00 a piece and then figure another $70.00 or so for the HID conversion from ebay puts you at about $130 a set plus install switches and wiring.... That puts you at about $260.00 +/- $30 or so for your own custom wiring and you are golden, could probably see the truck from space...

There are Definitely other lights out there for a 6" light KC highlights especially. Just buy the Halogen version and then convert them to HID. I will never run another halogen bulb in any of my vehicles.

You could probably just get Bi-Xenon headlights and standard 4" foglights four the stock bumper and be set with them adjusted correctly.

6000k color temp is where it is at for most white light available.

Do a search for HID conversion kits on Ebay. You will be amazed.

Take a close look at the lightforce stuff. They are way up there on popularity as Alaskan Moose radar.
