Yeah, mine is doing the same ... mostly at 45 mph too. I think I'm going to try the gismo from DTT, noise filter??? I checked their site but didn't see it listed. Guess I'll have to give them a call. I checked my batteries and they're good, so I'll try this first ... cheapest fix!

It is most likely electrical 'noise' getting to the computer that controls all this. DTT makes a great filter box that is easy to install and only costs $37. It cured my truck of all this lock up crap. Takes maybe 20 min to install.

My truck does this at 45mph if I just barely touch the gas peddle. Possibly because it is only running around 1200 rpm's (3.73 rearend).

There is a TSB for the early 24 valves on an electrical noise issue causing this problem, have seem lots of them fixed by getting the reflash done at the dealer. DONT let them do anything else. Last customer I sent to the ******* to have this done called me because they wanted to charge him a diagnostic fee (which they did) and then they wanted to tear the transmission apart (which I told him not to let them do), finally they just went ahead and did the reflash, and lo and behold, the problem was fixed. To bad the jerks at the ******* charged him their minimum diagnostic fee first, instead of just doing the job that he asked for. Scary thing is there a probably a lot of people that get their transmissions rebuilt when it is not needed, just because they don't know any better.

Guys, no recall, no clue at ther dealer from the parts changers. The refresh won't last. Been there. Save yourself a lot of aggrivation and frustration. I went through all this. Order the $37 noise filter from Diesel Transmission Technology (1-604-504-4013), follow their simple instructions and do the 30 minute or so install, and your problems are solved. Mine were, and from what i'm reading in this forum, i'm not the only one.

I think he said reCAL, as in calibration. Speedo & tranny getting along nicely now that you put on bigger tires.

Understood your post. Mine was not specifically a responce to yours. The point i'm trying to make is that i just don't think the dealers are going to be much help with this lock up problem. It stems from the fact that Dodge has run all the wiring together including the alternator wires. Noise is picked up as a result. The fix is the filter which Dodge has yet to supply us with, so you must look elsewhere. It works.

poor running

Well my 99 24v is doing the same thing (from new and it is a manual) piece of junk. WHAT I AM GUESSING IS THAT THERE IS A SPLICE IN THE PDC THAT WAS A BAD FACTORY DESIGN It is too early in the morning haven't had enough coffee yet. is it junction 1 and 2 or the splice in the wiring harness form the # 6 wire ????
I have osocilloscope readings and they are bad bad bad. Will have to get girl friend to put some of the papers on here but they are on TDR under 2-ND TIME readers rigs. I have a lot more if anyone is interested. I am too much of a luddite!!!! The voltage from the PDC has a spike in it so it corrupts the signals. The transistor transistor logic (TTL) !!!! I have bucking from 1100 to 1275 rpm and had bucking from 1700 to 2200 rpm.
We should all get together and find out if the same things are going wrong.

I A HAVE NEVER ENJOYED HAVING THIS PIECE OF JUNK $42,000.00 WASTED AND SPENT WASTED ABOUT $18,000.00 AND OVER 52,000 KM'S TO GET SERVICE THAT IS A FACTORY SNAFU AND IT STILL LEAKS 53 !!!!!! Buy CAT POWER.

TRING TO to find cryslurr dollarship that will work with me to fix it and so far nothing if there is a dollarship out there that is interested !!!!!!!! More coffee.

I have been having APPS issues for a while with my '99 5 speed. I wonder if this noise issue could be related??? My truck will just cut to an idle periodically and immediately throws an APPS code, check engine light comes on. Especially when I use the cruise.

Anyone know if it affects manual trucks?
