Afe stg 2 mega canon fitment issue

Is anyone having fitment issues with their Mega Canon intake hitting the oil filter? No matter how I adjust the "S" tube it still contacts the filter. Its not just touching the filter its pushing on it enough that the air tube is being pushed in. I dont know if the oil filter gets hot enough to melt the plastic but I do not want to damage it.

I took the silicone off for a test fit and butted the S-tube up to the actual turbo inlet and it still contacted the oil filter. I know there has to be some clearance there.

I could trim some of the tube off but then it will mess up the alignment of the filter in the housing area. Any idea's?

Anyone else had this problem? I'll try and get some pictures here soon.

Jon

How did you build your own? I was thinking about building one similar to the Icebox tube.

A lot of people talk highly of this AFE intake but honestly its kinda crap that it has interference with the oil filter like it does. As much as people talk them up, you'd think issues like this wouldnt exist. Just my opinion.
