AFE Filter

I pickup up the AFE Kit 5 years and 125K miles ago. I didn't pay full price so not complaining per say (caught a going out of business sale) but the rubber hoses that connect the torque tube to the turbo and their metal heat sheild are starting to cracks. They have been like this for 20k mile so really only go like 100k out of them. So far they aren't leaking but figure a matter of time. Any one know of something better. This is the model that doesn't use the metal tube if that makes a difference. The reason I question going back to AFE is the filter had the same problem. All the rubber on it is cracked and deep so needing to get a new filter as well. Not sure if age or miles that is causing it but looking for something that may last a little longer and if this is a common issue.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or comments. (this isn't a dog AFE thread)

For best results I would just order a replacement set from AFE...125K on a set of hoses is not bad.

My connector did the same thing. I called them and they sent me the new one for free. They had a run on these that were bad. Lots of threads about this over the past years. I bet they would send a new one. The new new one I got is a lot different rubber material with better reenforcement and so far has been holding up great. I have no idea baout the filter though. Never heard of that.
