AFC Housing Slide?

I've turned up my star wheel a bit (didn't do a whole lot) How do you slide the afc forward and what will this accomplish? Its probably been answered one hundred times before .

You losen the bolts that hold it down, the holes are enlongated, and you just shove it forward, and tighten it down. You can't move it a lot.

Moving it moves the AFC foot (off boost fueling) and increases the low end fuel. I have mine forward, and the starwheel a little tighter than many for smoke control.

4 the ones you took off to swap your plate, they hold the AFC (the housing over the starwheel) to the pump. 3 8mm and the breakoff.

ok well i just got done checking my star wheel and also am curious about the afc housing slide...... i noticed when i was in the afc for the star wheel that the upper left bolt/screw is missing (the one under the H/P injector lines).....is this good bad or neither??? isn't that the one referred to as the breakaway bolt? if so how and why?? is there anything else i have to tweak when i slide the AFC forwards??

That bolt is the tamper proof bolt. There is no bolt head to it. just a smooth top with a small hole in it. Without it you will get an oil leak.

The star wheel, AFC housing, and the fuel plate are all related. Move one and you affect the other. Don't do but one at the time. You will never know what did what if you don't.
