adrenaline questions..
alright guys, i've been away from here for a while but i'm starting to get interest again in my truck and i'm wanting a new box. either the edge drag comp or adrenaline/pulse.
i want to know if quad has worked out the adrenaline? i tried searching but all the posts i found were from 09 at the latest, and it seemed like 08-09 had a lot of people annoyed by little problems and such. i'm j/w if this has gotten better now and the adr is all good to go? anyone running one now have opinions? i think id like one with the new pulse v2. i know the comp box is pretty reliable and if the adr is still problematic ill just go that way.
thanks in advance!

ps: i already have an airdog and gauges and if/when my clutch slips im prepared for a southbend haha also love to hear any arguments for adr/pulse and drag comp....thanks!

i have had my adr since it came out and i (knock on wood) havnt had any problems with it. only thing i noticed i dont like about it is that with the 2000 tunes at around 70mph curising i get a little bit of surge but cure for that is just go faster.

Adrenaline works well.
There will always be a tendency for minor surging because of throttle position power....versus boost activatedpower from all other boxes.
If you play with the custom tuning.... you can build a program that won't surge for your set up!
I daily drive with just big injectors and the Smarty on #7..... about 425 hp.
My Adrenaline is set for 0 timing (use smarty for that) and set for 4 power levels. #1 and #2 are permanent. My PL3 is 1/2 fueling and my #4 is full "Competition" fueling.
And as you have probably read....the HP from the Andrenaline is second to none.... except redline (race only).
I'm also excited about the new Pulse V-2. Thread HERE.

so I guess I should expect surging around 2k rpms (55-60mph)? It's kind of anoying getting on the hwy w/od locked out and I pretty much have to completely lay off the pedal. Is there a trick or specific process to download other tunes....I tried it for abut an hour using directions from Quad but it would never allow a program change. Any exp w/b appreciated. Using WinXP and pretty much a new pc.

ok...thank you. One other issue....when towing this weekend....the temp hit 190-195 when coming off the hwy...after idling while out of the truck, I get going again and the Adr goes back to zero setting. Does it automatically do this when the temp hits 190* as a saftey measure? It was 96* outside. Plenty of antifreeze and temps would go back to 185* when driving. I'm getting rdy to head to Death Valley/Havasu and temps are 110*+. I don't need to have coolant issues. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If so, I would think it would re-block PL setting anytime temps drop below set level.
Mine is set at 180* and therefore has never gotten low enough to reset while still running, so........??
