Adrenaline Beta Testers - Phase 3
Thought a new thread was in order for Beta Testers starting to play with Phase 3.
Would like to keep posts to beta testers only, please, though I'm sure others will be following the comments closely.
I could not install the new v1.3.0 update for the Pulse.
Got Driver Install Instruction e-mailed from Jacob, in Quads Tech Dept, and still no go! FYI, I had to add a step and unblock the zipped file, after getting it on my desktop, before proceeding... this step is not in Quads directions!
Working with Jacob on a different installer ..... in case anyone else has same scenario.

I have the update installed, and the menu is nice. Got the quick run-down of instructions, but since I butchered the serial that goes with the adrenaline update the tuning menu reads zeroes. Can anyone comment on whether or not this menu will read the settings of tune loaded, and then you modify it? Or do you start with zeroes, and modify from there?
Did that make sense to anyone?

Can't help you. I'm decided to stay with ADR 2000 till I get a new H-2 cam installed this weekend. Don't want to change two things at once. Need to get cam differences clear in my head before I modify the Adrenaline... but it's killing me not to play with it immediately!
Will be watching closely for everyones feedback over next few days! Have fun guys!

Ever since I got my pulse back it's been acting funny. Has anyone with the newer (1.2.9 or 1.3.0) noticed that the display switches screens if you switch the key off?
E.g.
The first display of one screen is "boost", the first display of the alternate screen is "RPM". If I shut my truck off with the Pulse on the screen starting with "RPM", the next time I turn my truck on the Pulse display will be the screen starting with "Boost". However, if I shut the truck off on the "Boost" screen, it will still be on the "Boost" screen when I start the truck again.
Anyone else getting funny behaviors like this?

You have to load BOTH the update I sent with yur serial number and the Pulse 1.3.0 in order to tune.
Once we get the locks and checks into place then you can start with whatever tune you want and it will just pull up what the current settings are but, for now you have to use the tune I sent you.
Now, on the custom tuning menus, once you load the Adrenaline tune all of the custom tuning fields will no longer be 0. They will be whatever that tune has in it.
The cool part about this is that (when we are done) you can load ADR1000, go to the custom tuning menu and save it as a profile. Then load ADR2000, do the same thing and then load something like the COMP. From there you would be able to go from 1000 to 2000 or to the COMP with just a couple of button pushed because it will save the tuning info from each of the other tunes in your profiles.
Or you can just load a tune and then change it all up to get what you like and use that as one of your saved profiles.

Agreed! Totally Awesome Feature!

My Pulse locked up again...while trying to download v1.3.0
Sending it in for the 4th time.... only one of which was planned (larger memory). Guess it's the nature of beta testing but this seems curious.
Tech rep thinks it's my computer but I had no problem with the drivers for v1.2.8??
Had to buy a new air vent ($40.00) for mounting. My original broke from mounting the pulse so many times!
At least I'm locked up on PL00!

I've been workin 12-14 hrs. a day and haven't had time to update to the custom tuning. Sounds like this is a good thing though, I'll let all you guys figure out the problems so I can just download it and be done with it.

This is the same problem you had way back when you first got ur Pulse. You have screen 1 and 2 mixed up. Screen 1 is always default. Just change all ur parameters from 1 to 2 and vice versa and you'll be good to go.

Can you not re-download the Pulse back to 1.28 or 1.29?
We use the same software to update the Commanders and we never have issues with those either?
The Adrenaline had a few issues with download but, since we have the new software for updating it out those problems seem to be gone as well.
