If you're talking about the rod that runs from the wastegate acuator (Big Head in your setup) to the flapper on the turbine housing then it needs to be shorter for more boost. Don't go too short or you'll get coil bind in the actuator and the wastegate won't open all the way. The other option is to get an adjustable boost elbow. You can then adjust it with the turn of an allen screw.

I hate it when you type something up and before you can hit the submit button someone else beats you to it.

Yeah, what he said. The correct bar length will ensure the wastegate has full travel available when opening and closing. This ensures drive pressures & boost stays in check when spikes occur. I think you may do better as well sticking in a boost elbow with a bleed port on the side like the TST elbow. It will raise boost, but still allow your wastegate to fully open when spikes are encountered for protection. The TST elbow should be good for 5 to 7 pounds of boost as it comes set. If that is not enough, get after it with a small drill bit and enlarge the bleed port just a smidge at a time until you land at your predetermined sweet spot.

Just some thing to think about. On the 305 motor de-fueling and over-boost codes happen at around 29 PSI. Unless you have a boost fooler you might have some small problems trying to get 30+ PSI. Never mind the six-gun does boost fooling. Sorry should have read sig. better
