Adding Power Mirrors

My '96 didn't come with power mirrors but when so I had the door panels off a while back I noticed that it had the wiring harnesses for the mirrors. Guess it's cheaper to put them in all the doors. I picked up a switch and a set of mirrors off eBay and was going to plug them in and see what happens. Well nothing. Checked the switch harness and none of the wires are hot. Pulled the fuse panel and none are marked power mirror. Got a few N/A's and was hoping I could plug in a fuse and power up my mirrors.

What's the fuse number for the power mirrors?

Is this going to work?

Thanks jerky1280.

Well I have power mirrors on my truck now! The fuse was the bottom left one, I forget how it's marked but it's just three capital letters separated by periods and the same fuse as the interior dome light. I must have crossed something when I trying to WAG which wires to connect and popped it before I tested all the prongs for power. The switch plug changed somewhere between '96 and 200? because the 200? switch I got off ebay was a smaller 8 prong. I just got a generic 9-prong plug from Radio Shack and replaced the plug on the switch and (hate cutting wires) jumped off the prongs from the truck plug to the new one. If I had gotten the correct switch:

instead of this 200? one:

The install would have been, plug and play. I did seemingly reverse the polarity of the power and the ground since up is down and left is right but probably will not pull the door panel off to fix just that
To anyone else wanting power mirrors, I say DO IT! Both mirrors and a switch only put me back about $50 off eBay (but I did wait a while for them and I ended up with an extra passenger mirror, which is not a bad thing. My teenager fed the manual passenger one to a pine tree just last week anyhow )
cheers
