Added a back-up light.....
I had an extra Hella 500 off road light hangin' around an felt it needed to be used, so I bought some brackets from Paul Fox of Defiant Truck Products and bolted it up. Ran out of daylight so I'll do the wiring this weekend. Pardon the poor picture quality. I broke my wife's nice digi at Pismo last week.

They are so over built it isn't funny! You could hang a street light off of them! They're made from 3/16 plate steel then coated. For someone like me with zero tools for fab work they are worth it.

With that light it's one way only. My FF1000s can go on at any angle. If I were buying lights specifically for this purpose I wouldn't get 500s, but since I had one I used it.

I have thought about wiring some extra back up lights as well. I will probably wait until I get my windows tinted as seeing while backing up will be a bit of an issue.

I had a pair of tractor lights mounted on the back of my F350 w/Knapheide body for just such a reason.
And now that I've seen this thread, I think maybe the '03 will get a little help in this department!

I've been thinking of doing this for this very reason. The backup lights stink on these trucks, and with window tint this is almost a must. Looks good. Get er wired up and take some night pics.

looks awesome! I just added 2 PIAAs on my roof rack facing backwards for duck hunting and for backing up. Are you just gonna tap into the reverse lights or you gonna add a switch so you can control them all the time??

I'll probably just put them on a switch. Most of the time I won't need them, and sometimes I don't want them on, so for me the best option would be a simple toggle switch.

I'm trying, but it's been 110* here this past week and humid. I think I'll wait until it cools off a bit.
